            Surya, also known as Suriya Sivakumar, is an Indian film actor and producer who primarily works in the Tamil film industry. He was born on July 23, 1975, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Surya is the eldest son of Tamil actor Sivakumar and his wife Lakshmi. He has two younger siblings: a brother named Karthi, who is also an actor, and a sister named Brindha.

Surya made his acting debut in the film "Nerukku Ner" in 1997 and gained recognition for his performances in movies like "Nandha," "Kaakha Kaakha," and "Ghajini." He has since appeared in numerous successful Tamil films and has established himself as one of the leading actors in the industry. Surya is known for his versatility and has portrayed a wide range of characters, from action-packed roles to socially relevant dramas.

In 2008, Surya founded his own production company called 2D Entertainment, through which he has produced several films.
